Scrap Yarn Projects

No doubt that every knitter and crocheter sure have lots of scrap yarn lying around in the crafts room which sometime can come handy in creating small and quick project.

In my case, when my hubby installed a lamp for my working table, the light is actually too bright for my eyes, but without it I won't be able to continue working on my project late at night when both my hubby and daughter are asleep. So thanks to my scrap yarn stash, I got this idea to crochet my very own lamp shade.

And thanks to my scrap yarn stash too, I am able to crochet my very own Instagram Phone Case too, which currently is so trending. With a little bit of stitch modification, the phone case looks made using tunisian technique and I am glad with it finally looks.

I Can Teach Too???

Surprisingly YES, I managed to teach.

It started with a bit of nightmare, when I decided to open a knitting/crochet class for beginner in my shop. The doubt was there, wondering whether I can teach someone properly, whether my teaching is acceptable.
And now by looking at the result of what my student can do, I definitely proud of myself.
Seeing how they actually been improving from having ZERO knowledge in knitting to producing such great stuff, really amazed me.
Not only they have the passion to learn also patience in finishing what they have started.

Teaching someone is for sure never been easy, it requires lots of patience whereby I myself not a person with a lot of it. But I am really glad to go through this experience cos I know that I am at least can be lot more patient then before.

Basketweave Motif

Only until I edited the picture, I realised that I have made the Basketweave motif using both Knit & Crochet technique.
And it was all started with just a blink of inspiration, trying to play with some stitches to create motifs that I have never done before.
So turn out this motif can actually be done using both CROCHET & KNITTING.
