For the love of Doily.

For me personally, making Doily whether crochet or knit is always fun to do.
Because doily in its lace design is just lovely to see and always looks pretty no matter how simple the design is.

This month I have knitted another doily again, and it has been my 2nd big doily.
Pattern received through a knit along held in Dinamic Croknit group and that makes it even more challenging. The finished doily turns out to be approximately 60cm in diameter and since I used a rayon yarn to knit, it ends up to be very lacy.

What I love the most is the combination of colour I have created, which makes it so Chinese-feel and plan to make another one soon.

Totally addicted to... KNITTING

I am officially announcing.. I am a knitting addict.. hahahaa...
All of sudden the craft which I have abandoned long ago, has now really come to my attention.
Whenever I have the free time now, all I can think of is what should I knit now.
Kinda funny to think back how I used to hate it because I used to find it to be boring & time consuming.
Surprisingly I managed to knit out a small doily, understanding a Japanese knitting pattern & create something out of it.

And despite all the excitement, nothing more satisfying then managing to have my 2011 resolution actually achieved which is to sharpen my knitting skills.

Patience & Passion do finally pays..

Being so patience & passionately continuing on my knitted doily, is finally turn up to be happy ending.. i'm FINALLY FINISHED knitting the Baltic Finger Labyrinth doily by Beth Dubeck.
The feeling of doing the bind of as final step for the doily just like an ecstasy.

Through out the whole process of making, I definitely learn a lot about knitting & found it kinda exciting. One thing i learn for sure make sure to always use LIFELINE during knitting to avoid any drop stitches incase mistakes made. Also to always do BLOCKING once you done your work to make it looks even neater.

Overall... knitting do teach us to keep on being patient & not to let go the passion and at the end the result will be sure satisfying
